CenturyLink / Lumen Call Forwarding

To forward calls to an external number on CenturyLink or Lumen, you can try either of the methods below. If one option doesn't work, try the other.

From a phone

  1. 1

    Listen for a dial tone, then press 72.

  2. 2

    Listen for a stutter dial tone followed by a regular dial tone.

  3. 3

    Dial the number you want your calls forwarded to.

  4. 4

    Answer the call on the other phone number to activate call forwarding.

  5. 5

    Hang up when the call is answered by a person or voicemail.

From your account

  1. 1

    Log in to your account.

  2. 2

    Select User Features.

  3. 3

    Select the Sharing tab.

  4. 4

    Select Call Forward Always.

  5. 5

    Choose a user to configure.

  6. 6

    Select the checkbox for When busy, When no answer, or Numbers of rings before forwarding.

  7. 7

    Click the Set number field.

  8. 8

    Search for an internal number or type an external number.
