AT&T Call Forwarding

There are a few ways to forward your AT&T calls to a temporary number during onboarding. If an option doesn't work, try another.

Option 1 — Try the normal *72 method

Use the standard *72call forwarding method for your AT&T line.

Option 2 — Dial *72 plus the temporary number

From every line on an AT&T phone, dial *72 immediately followed by the temporary number plus #.

Option 3 — Enable call forwarding from your business account

Log into the AT&T business account and enable call forwarding there.

    Log in to Your Account

    • Go to the AT&T Business VoIP website.
    • Enter your user ID and password to log in to your account.

    Access the Phone Settings

    • Navigate to the My Services or Manage Features section.
    • Select your VoIP service from the list of available services.

    Find Call Forwarding Settings

    • Look for the Call Forwardingoption within your phone settings. This might be under a menu like “Call Management” or “Advanced Features.”

    Enable Call Forwarding

    • Click on “Call Forwarding” to open the settings.
    • You might see different types of call forwarding options (e.g., Always, No Answer, Busy). Choose Call Forwarding Always to forward all calls.

    Enter the Forwarding Number

    • Enter the external number to which you want to forward your calls in the provided field.
    • Make sure to enter the full phone number, including the area code.

    Save the Settings

    • After entering the forwarding number, click Save or Apply to activate the call forwarding feature.

    Verify the Forwarding

    • Make a test call to your business number to ensure that calls are being forwarded to the external number you provided.
